San Francisco is in the middle of a housing affordability crisis, and the Housing Trust Fund is one of the most effective tools we have to fight it. For over a decade, this fund has helped build and preserve affordable homes for teachers, nurses, service workers, seniors, and families who make our city run, without raising taxes on San Franciscans.
Teachers, nurses, and first responders shouldn't have to commute into the city they serve. This measure funds downpayment assistance, rent relief for seniors and at-risk tenants, and support for multigenerational families, so the people who make San Francisco run can actually afford to live here.
The Housing Trust Fund Renewal doesn't cost San Franciscans a dime more. It simply renews funding the city already collects, extends it through 2058, and keeps every dollar independently audited and legally dedicated to affordable housing, not redirected without a public vote.
